   1 Web Staff Client Serials Module

   3 The serials module has been ported over to the web staff
   4 client, implementing a unified serials interface that combines
   5 ideas from both the serial control view and alternate serials
   6 control view from the old staff client.

   8 In addition to carrying over functionality that was available
   9 in the old staff client, several new features are included:

  11 * the ability to save prediction pattern codes as templates
  12   that can be shared and reused within an Evergreen database
  13 * a more streamlined interface for managing subscriptions,
  14   distributions, and streams
  15 * it is no longer necessary to create a starting issue in
  16   order to predict a run of issues; the dialog box for
  17   generating a set of predicted issues now lets you specify
  18   the starting point directly.
  19 * the ability to more directly edit MFHDs

  21 The new serials interfaces can be accessed from the record
  22 details page via a Serials drop-down button that links to
  23 a subscription management page, a quick-receive action, and
  24 a MFHD management page. There is also a new Serials Administration
  25 page where prediction pattern and serial copy templates can
  26 be managed.
