12                         <para>Patrons are given temporary <emphasis>dummy</emphasis> barcodes when new accounts are created, or forgotten passwords are reset. Patrons MUST change their password to something more secure with their <emphasis role="bold">first ever</emphasis> OPAC login or <emphasis role="bold">first</emphasis> login after a password reset. Once the password is updated, they will not have to repeat this process for subsequent logins.</para>
